Introduced in 2009, the ref. 5116 revived the classic hobnail-bezel Calatrava design first seen in the 1980s, pairing a compact 36mm case with a grand feu enamel dial, Roman numerals and feuille hands. It is a manual-winding dress watch built around Patek Philippe's slim Calibre 215 PS. The line was offered in white gold from launch and later joined by a rose gold execution before being succeeded within the current catalogue by the enlarged 39mm ref. 6119.

The Calatrava range
- Calatrava 5153
- The Calatrava 5153 is a 38mm Officer's-style dress watch introduced in 2009, distinguished by its hinged, dust-cover case back and hand-guilloched dial with a railway minute track. It carries forward the Calatrava's founding principle of restrained, timeless design while adding a vintage military-inspired case construction rarely seen in a modern Patek.
- Calatrava 5196
- The ref. 5196 was Patek Philippe's entry-level time-only Calatrava from 2004 until its retirement in 2022, built around the hand-wound Calibre 215 PS that traces its design back to 1974. Offered across yellow gold, rose gold, white gold and platinum cases, it distilled the Calatrava's round, hobnail-bezel dress-watch formula down to a compact 37mm diameter. The platinum 5196P-001, with its distinctive two-tone silver dial and Breguet numerals, is the most sought-after execution and was succeeded by the Calatrava 6196P.
- Calatrava 5227
- Launched at Baselworld 2013 as the successor to the ref. 5127, the Calatrava 5227 stepped the collection up to a 39mm case while keeping the automatic Calibre 324 S C at its heart. Its signature is the officer's-style hinged caseback, a nod to Patek's vintage military watches, which opens on a hinge to reveal the movement through a sapphire window rather than requiring a caseback tool. Offered over the years in white, rose and yellow gold with ivory, black or salmon lacquered dials, the 5227 line has been progressively retired since 2026, making surviving examples increasingly sought after on the secondary market.
